Look Me in the Eye is a campaign to break down barriers between all people, particularly those who are marginalized or ignored. This campaign was created by Two Agencies: One Vision a cooperative effort of Oregon Supported Living Program (OSLP) and Full Access, two non-profit agencies that assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Looking someone in the eye is a great starting point; our goal is to develop relationships between people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their communities. We know absolutely, that when people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are known and recognizable in their communities, they are less likely to be abused and neglected.
Organizations such as these two are vital parts of the safety net for vulnerable populations and each day divert serious crisis from occurring in our community; engaging the public with a simple approach of Look Me in the Eye helps further this overall mission.
