Helen's stepfather is of Hawaiian/Chinese decent who taught her tolerance by example as an example of the principles of living inherent in the Hawaiian way: patience, gratitude for all things, a sense of humor and love of family and life.
Helen has served as a Dental Assistant for the USARMY and is a Vietnam War veteran (1975) and, is a graduate from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She has twenty years experience as a marketing executive for corporate and non-profit entities.
