The Staley Settlement concluded in September 2000 and establishes a plan in which new community-based services for people with developmental disabilities will be phased-in over six years.

Advocacy
The Arc of Oregon and The Arc of Lane County are advocacy organizations serving people with developmental disabilities and their families.
People First of Oregon is a group of developmentally disabled people throughout the state joining together to learn how to speak for themselves.
The Oregon Advocacy Center is an independent non-profit organization which provides legal advocacy services for people with disabilities anywhere.
Oregon Technical Assistance Corporation (OTAC) promotes full participation in community life for individuals with disabilities and families through the delivery of training, technical assistance, and related services.
The National Center on Self-Determination, part of the Oregon Health & Sciences University, identifies, develops, validates and communicates policies and practices that promote the self-determination of people with and without disabilities.
The Center for Self-Determination is a highly interactive collaborative of individuals and organizations working to change the nature of the support and service system for individuals with disabilities, using the principles of self-determination to help all persons create the lives they want, connected to and with their communities.
The mission of Technology Access for Life Needs (TALN) is to assure that persons with disabilities in Oregon will be able to secure and effectively use assistive technologies, primarily through answering questions and helping with solutions.
The Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) acts as an advocate for persons with developmental disabilities and their families to promote change, through self-determination, leading to a more accessible, inclusive and culturally responsive world.

Disability Compass provides information on services, products, and special health care resources for people with disabilities, their families and their supporters.
Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon (OFCO) is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing life improvement services to Central Oregonians with disabilities. With OFCO's support, adults with disabilities in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties work toward their individual goals for meaningful work, a comfortable home and the opportunity to be an active part of the community.
Family Village is a global community that integrates information, resources, and communication opportunities on the internet for persons with cognitive and other disabilities, for their families, and for those that provide them services and support. They have a great library and bookstore with in-depth information about various disabilities.
The Quality Mall collects and disseminates information related to or useful in promoting quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities. It has a vast amount of information on products and services for people with developmental disabilities.
Half the Planet is an interagency committee on disability research which supports the application of technology to promote the values of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Person-Centered Planning Education Site offers resources and information around person-centered planning processes. Person-centered planning involves the development of a "toolbox" of methods and resources that enable people with disability labels to choose their own paths to success; the planners simply help them to figure out where they want to go and how best to get there.

Lane County Developmental Disabilities Services provides a range of services for eligible individuals and their families including intake and eligibility determination, case management, protective services for adults, community-based residential and employment services, foster care for children and adults, self-directed supports, high school transition services and crisis resolution.
Oregon Department of Human Services, People with Disabilities, Adults with Developmental Disabilities provides an overview of the governmental provisions for persons with developmental disabilities.
The Oregon Health Plan has a comprehensive information site.
The Social Security Administration has a wealth of information on social security benefits and programs.
Disability Information is a collaborative effort of federal government agencies with disability-related information on civil rights, education, employment, housing, technology and more.

Autism
The Autism Society of Oregon is a state-wide support group, and it is the state chapter of the Autism Society of America. Information is listed about various issues which are important to families and professionals.
The Northwest ADA Center provides information on the American with Disabilities Act and accessible information and technology. They list free trainings and a wealth of information related to the ADA.
The Autism Partnership provides Intensive Behavioral Treatment for Children with Autism. This is a support resource organization geared toward children but useful for adults.
The Center for the Study of Autism has a vast library of information, books, and articles relating to Autism spectrum disorder and other related links.
